Parent Update: 22/05/2020

Dear Parents,

We have spent another week trying to make key decisions for our schools to extend their opening and preparing for this. We have always believed that the 1st June was very provisional and we were awaiting further guidance from the Government and medical experts

Parent Update: 20/05/2020

Dear Parents,
I hope that you and your family are well and in good spirits despite the challenging times we all live in.
We have spent the last few days refining our plans for the increased opening of our schools, and I must stress at this stage that we will only proceed if we believe it is safe to do so for our children, families and staff. Currently, the government has set the date of the 1st June as very provisional and dependant on some critical key factors in terms of infection rates and testing. We expect to hear in the next few days if this date will change and be put back. I am sure you have seen and heard all the intense discussions that are happening at national level on this issue.

Parent Update: 11/05/2020

Dear Parents,
I do hope you and your families continue to be safe and well.
I did not write to you at the end of last week as I was waiting for the Prime Minister’s announcement last night in order to understand the Government’s strategy for the reopening of schools. I like many of you have more questions than answers at this stage and we are now awaiting further guidance from the Department of Education over the next few days. We need to have time to review this and agree next steps with our Headteachers before we can give you any further information. Please be assured that the safety of our children and staff are paramount and we will be ensuring this is a priority in our planning.

Dear Parents,
I am struggling to believe we are now in May and I am not sure what happened to April! I do hope you and your families continue to be safe and well. It does seem that Telford has fewer cases compared to national statistics and I know we are all very grateful for that, our hospitals are doing a great job locally dealing with immense challenges.

Easter Holiday: Provision for Keyworkers

I am sure that balancing your key worker role alongside being a parent has been difficult since the start of the current crisis. As a school, I am really pleased that we have been able to help by providing a daily provision of both academic and fitness so that you can still access work.

Coronavirus Parent Update 27/03/2020

I just wanted to send you a message as we complete our first week in this strange new world we are all living in. I do believe if we maintain the social distancing, stay at home as much as possible and follow the “rules” the UK has a real chance of slowing down the virus and reducing the risk to life. We need to keep going and stay positive that all of our actions are contributing to the immense efforts of the NHS at this time.
